MULTICAM Live Comedy Camp!
Ages 12-18
August 18 - 22, 2025 9:00am - 4:00pm TEENS: 12-18yrs IN-PERSON Vancouver’s Film and TV industry has embraced comedy with productions like *Elle*, *The Thundermans*, and *Rambler*. Now is the perfect time for young actors to enhance their marketability in this genre! Join Lauren McGibbon and Lisa Durupt in a week-long workshop designed to teach tweens and teens how to deliver truthful, grounded comedic performances. Participants will learn to break down scripts, maximize humour, and work collaboratively in ensemble comedy. The week concludes with a multicam on-set simulation and clips of their comedic performances to take home. 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (DROP OFF 8:55 AM & PICK UP AT 4 PM) In Studio with Lisa Durupt, Lauren McGibbon, and MANY MORE! Jam-packed with everything multicam comedy requires!!!!! Students will learn each skill directly from highly skilled professionals, all actively working in the Vancouver Film Industry! This is a perfect way for young creatives to really learn the skill of being funny! BACK THIS FALL! Saturday 8:30am – 11:30am Ongoing - 1 day workshop $65+GST per session (Siblings $35+GST) “If you want your children to be smart, tell them stories. If you want them to be really smart, tell them more stories. If you want your children to be brilliant, tell them even more stories.” – Albert Einstein Looking for an outlet for your creative pre-school child? Do they like to invent stories and imagine themselves as different characters? This one-day workshop is for them! Many children this age express their creativity through play — this workshop will nurture their natural ability to be loud, proud, and imaginative alongside their like-minded peers! This workshop will bring out the spark in your child, and provide them a platform to become a confident storyteller: we will develop characters and scenes through play and music, and ultimately put together a short performance at the end of the workshop! Ignite the SPARK in your STORYTELLER! About Instructor: Jennifer Rose Garcia has her Bachelor of Education Degree, specializing in Montessori Kindergarten, Music, and Drama/Musical Theatre for Primary and Senior Years students. Jennifer loves to share her passion for acting at Tricities Film Studio with the kids and tweens, and can’t wait to create new stories alongside a new group of storytellers!
